 PBM - ADJUST-O-SEAL®
3 way Sanitary diverter ball valve

PBM presentation
PBM (Pittsburgh Brass Manufacturing) is a company over 100 years old that began as a non-ferrous foundry in 1899 along the Monongahela River in Pittsburgh.
Outgrowing this location, the foundry was moved in 1918 to the heart of the industrial section along the Allegheny River. The first floor of a five-story building housed the foundry. The upper floors were developed into a machine shop that manufactured blast furnace and steel plant fittings. Pittsburgh Brass Manufacturing earned a reputation as a reliable supplier to the steel industry. In the late 1950s, James H. Brennan Sr. shifted the company’s operations to the development of specialty Ball Valves. The first Ball Valve was shipped in 1960.
In 1968, for the purpose of consolidating operations and allowing for future expansion, PBM moved to its present site in Irwin, 20 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, PA. From this location, the first Flush Bottom Mounted Ball Valve and True Multi-Port Ball Valves were developed and manufactured. Today we are a leading producer of dependable, high quality valves.

"reduces cost and space"
Specifically Designed for Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Food, Beverage, Cosmetic and other Sanitary and Clean Steam Processes
  • 3-Way valve with an integral side-entry or bottom entry common port.   Seats shall provide both upstream and downstream bubble-tight seal and be adjustable for in-line wear.
  • A single Diverter Port can replace two or three 2-Way valves to reduce cost and space.
  • A Diverter Port valve can be an economical alternative to a 3-Way multi-port valve, depending on the sealing requirements.
  • An excellent choice for mounting two relief valves from a common pressure source.
  • Adjust-O-Seal®  design allows the valve seat seal to be restored in-line to a leak-tight condition to compensate for normal seat wear.
  • Swing out/Lift out Design for easy removal and installation.
  • Live-loaded stem packing
  • True-Bore® (valve bore same as connecting tubing) – no puddling
  • Stem assembly accommodates PBM Direct Mount Actuation for accurate alignment and increased cycling life.
  • Transflow (the gradual media flow that occurs as one port opens and another closes) prevents dead-heading and damage to pumps. Most flow patterns support transflow.
